Among the items located in this area of your electronic association, you will find the REALTORS®’ Code of Ethics. This is a hallmark of the REALTOR® organization, distinguishing REALTOR® members from non-member licensees by their pledge to adhere to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS®.

As a reference in a possible commission dispute, see the Q&A provided by the California Association of REALTORS® describing Procuring Cause.

PFAR offers a full program of dispute resolution: problems arising among and between REALTORS® and problems arising between REALTORS® and their clients. Both Arbitration Request forms and Disciplinary Complaint forms are available here.

We are proud to have one of the few Ombudsman programs offered by a REALTOR® association in California. The Ombudsman is able to provide information about matters which PFAR has jurisdiction, as well as provide direction to callers about more appropriate resources/entities (DRE, Small Claims Court, seek advice of attorney, etc) for some situations.

This program has been created to help our real estate professionals as well as members of the public to work through differences that may simply be caused by miscommunication or misunderstanding.
