J.C. Brainard
1907 Pasadena Realty Board President

Celebrating 100 Years
at the Pasadena-Foothills Association of REALTORS®

In November 1907, forty-one of Pasadena's real estate men met at the Shakespeare Club House to discuss the formation of a realty board in Pasadena to "promote good fellowship and fair dealing" in the industry.

Within two months, the Pasadena Realty Board was established with J.C. Brainard named the first President.

100 years later, the Pasadena Realty Board is now the Pasadena- Foothills Association of REALTORS® (PFAR) with an industry-wide

reputation of being one of the strongest real estate boards in the nation. Still promoting "good fellowship and fair dealing," PFAR has expanded its mission to help improve the quality of life within the communities we serve.  Read More History

PFAR Centennial Gala,
"
The Celebration of the Century"

Saturday, October 20, 2007  -  6:00 p.m.
Black Tie - Red Carpet Event

Remembering where we've been, enjoying where we are and looking forward to where we're going!  We’re pulling out all the stops to make this the most memorable event of the century!

Join us at the beautifully-restored grounds of the historic Pasadena City Hall for cocktails, dinner, dancing and entertainment.

FAQs:

What do I wear?
Ladies have the option of wearing a gown or cocktail dress, while gentlemen may choose to wear a tuxedo or dark business suit. We are planning for a starry autumn evening, but to ensure comfort, do bring a wrap.

What about parking?
Valet parking is included in the cost of your reservation. The drop-off location will be on the west curb of Euclid Avenue, and pick-up will be on Thurgood Marshall at Garfield.

What time should I arrive?
The evening begins with a cocktail reception at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner, entertainment and dancing. The City requires us to roll up the red carpet earlier than we'd like, so this is not the event to arrive fashionably late!

What's on the menu?
In addition to hot hors d'oeuvres and a seafood display, guests will sit down to a four-course dinner with champagne and wine served with the first three courses. A vegetarian plate will be available upon request.

Is this going to be a boring, stuffy event with long speeches?
No way!  This is a celebration for YOU, the REALTOR. Come and enjoy the open bar, great food, live music, entertainment, and dancing under the stars at the beautiful, historic Pasadena City Hall.

How much is it?
Reservations are $150/person and include valet parking, open-bar cocktail reception, entertainment, dinner and dancing in an elegant setting.
